
The exhibition of works of the leather artist Zhanna Zhuravel was opened in the library of the Jewish Community of Estonia. The exhibits are extraordinary and wonderful. They were exhibited in many countries and got recognition all around.
Zhanna Zhuravel graduated from the Estonian State Art Institute in 1987, (diploma cum laude). Her works have been exhibited in many countries: Italy, France, England, Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg), Lithuania and Estonia. At the international exhibition in France in 2007, Zhanna received the “Audience Choice Award” and took the 7th place with the work of “The Tales of Ch. Perrault”.
In 2011, for the anniversary of Shakespeare in Oxford (England) from Estonia was represented Zhanna work “Romeo and Juliet.”
At the exhibition in the Library you can see surprisingly interesting executed covers of the books of Mayakovsky, Blok, Pushkin, Kaplinsky.
An interesting fact, in the year 2002, during the visit to Estonia, Bill Clinton bought the work of Zhanna. A jewelry box as a gift to his daughter, made of leather with a figure of a female between two male faces was sold to him in the gallery on Lühike Jalg street.
