The date of 19th of September is a memorial date. On this day, in the year 1944, the Klooga concentration camp was liberated. Unfortunately, on the day of liberation, one of the largest massacres of the German occupation in Estonia took place in Klooga. More than 2,000 prisoners were killed at the same time.

Speaker of the Parlament Eiki Nestor, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Estonia, schoolchildren and representatives of the Jewish Community of Estonia attended in the memorable event in Klooga today.
