At JCC Tallinn, we believe that a camping experience should be meaningful for everyone involved. LEHAIM Camp offers a multi-layered engagement: children enjoy engaging programming, teens grow into the next generation of youth movement leaders and madrichim, and our madrichim apply their knowledge by guiding and inspiring the campers, becoming some of the best leaders in our community.
Since 2004, LEHAIM Camp has provided Jewish children with a unique experience that nurtures their Jewish identity, leadership skills, and connection to the global Jewish community.
“Our mission is to create a safe and welcoming environment for Jewish children and their parents, allowing them to freely express their Jewish identity and empower their journey to connect with the Jewish community and Jews worldwide.”
Our Goals:
- Foster knowledge of Jewish rituals, history, and values
- Encourage to become leaders
- Build lasting friendships
- Strengthen trusting relationship with parents
- Strengthen children’s engagement with their Jewish identity
What Makes LEHAIM Special?
LEHAIM Camp integrates Jewish education and cultural activities into every aspect of camp life, from creative educational programs to fun and engaging traditions like Israeli dance, singing, and Shabbat celebrations. A unique feature of our camp is Limmudim, a daily one-hour session where campers aged 7–17 can choose from activities such as J-Talks on modern Judaism, Israeli dance and singing, intellectual games, or open discussions on the camp theme with madrichim. Designed to be meaningful and age-appropriate for all, Limmudim encourages cross-generational learning, allowing siblings and children of different ages to share experiences, build connections, and strengthen the sense of community.
